LightSpeed Studios Inc.
LightSpeed Studios Inc. is a Canadian firm that is primarily concerned with building next-generation electronic kiosks. These kiosks offer sponsored services (typically free) to end users while collecting and mining various information from these users for marketing and leads generation purposes all within the confines of strict Canadian privacy laws and our own privacy policies (which often exceed those of the government).
We operate four synergistic but independent divisions:
- The First Memories™ Division (Website): First Memories™ web-enabled self-serve photo kiosks are found in maternity wards in hospitals across Canada (and soon, the USA). Each kiosk is equipped with cameras and card readers that enable new parents to take, upload, and share photos of the newborn. Users walk away with high-quality photos printed on the spot for free as well as a myriad of coupons from sponsors and advertisers. The photos are also uploaded to a free album created automatically for the users online. Our First Memories division also operates Canada's largest natal gifting network.
- The Tourism Kiosks Division: Tourism web-enabled self-serve photo kiosks are placed in high-traffic tourist transit points (e.g. airports, hotel lobbies, info centers) or at attractions. These kiosks offer users personalized postcards as well as customized coupons from area restaurants, hotels, or the like. Furthermore, these kiosks (using proprietary mapping software and a user's own GPS device) can print customized maps, routes, and local transit schedules for tourists wishing to explore a given city or neighborhood. Our tourism kiosks also allow users to instantaneously share photos and videos with friends and family members back home.
- The Event Kiosks Division: Self-serve photo kiosks that can be placed at weddings, corporate events, golf tournaments, or anywhere event organizers would like to give their patrons an opportunity to walk away with a postcard souvenir in hand that actually incorporates the kiosk user’s own picture superimposed on an event-related background.
- The Entry Kiosks Division (Brochure): Lightspeed Studios also provides buildings with entry systems to control access. What distinguishes a Lightspeed Studios’ entry kiosk from systems already on the market is the use of a single phone line to control access. This feature saves thousands of dollars on installation in a new building. Network connectivity updates occupancy data in realtime from any workstation, for easy administration. Large touchscreens replace the small LED interfaces commonly used, and stereo speakers make our kiosks a marked improvement over traditional systems. Real estate on the touchscreen can generate revenues. One touch calls to office, taxis, couriers and problem reporting can be easily customized and implemented. We can customize a more appealing design and user-friendly interface to the client’s highest specifications.
